Cboe FX had its second-highest trading volume ever in the month of April, with $1.1 trillion in total foreign exchange trading.
The total trading volume on Cboe FX in March 2023 was over $1 trillion, which is the fourth time in the platform’s history to reach this amount. Compared to February 2023, the volume was 33% higher and 8.8% higher than the same period last year.
The average daily volume was $48.3 billion, which is higher than the $41.8 billion in February 2023 and $44.4 billion in March 2022. Overall, Cboe FX ended the first quarter of 2023 with a record-breaking $2.8 trillion in total trading volume and an average daily volume of $43.8 billion.
