Proxymity and Clearstream, a post-trade business that operates in global markets, have expanded their relationship to create a digital solution for announcements related to general meetings.

Issuers and investors have long been connected through multiple sources and forms of communication, leading to delays and confusion. Proxymity and Clearstream are working together to fix this issue, creating a platform to automate communication between the two parties. This will speed up the process of proxy voting and corporate event communication, making it easier for everyone involved.

The central platform will make it easier for firms and their representatives to share important company announcements with middlemen and customers who own different financial products, such as stocks, bonds, ETFs, funds, and Eurobonds. The platform will post a single “golden record” of information to the Issuer CSD, which will be shared with everyone connected to the firm.

The service is due to become available at the end of this year and will use Proxymity’s Vote Connect, its leading digital proxy service powered by Proxymity’s investor communication system.

CEO of Clearstream Securities Services, Sam Riley, said:

At Clearstream, we are constantly striving for new and innovative services for our clients, making it easier for them to conduct their business smoothly and efficiently around the world. In expanding our partnership with Proxymity, we are delivering on this ambition once again, using digital technologies that are leading the way in compliance and best practice.

CEO of Proxymity, Dean Little, said:

We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Clearstream, further expanding our digital investor communication platform into the German and Luxembourg markets. This collaboration will revolutionise the way issuers communicate their corporate events, ensuring compliance and enhancing efficiency in the proxy voting process. We look forward to making a positive impact on these strategically important markets and continuing to drive innovation in issuer to investor communication.
