Deutsche Börse’s Trading Volume Rises 24% in March

In March 2023, Deutsche Börse’s cash markets had total sales of 140.21 billion euros.

The cash market turnover increased by 23.7% from the previous months €113.31 billion to €136.42 billion in March 2023. Compared to March 2022, however, the turnover decreased by 35.4%. The average daily Xetra trading volume was €5.93 billion in March 2023, which was higher than €5.67 billion in February 2023.

The amount of trading on Börse Frankfurt in March 2023 was €3.79 billion, which was a rise from the €2.93 billion recorded in February 2023.

Last month, stocks that are traded on Deutsche Börse made €116.44 billion. Of this, €21.43 billion came from trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs, €1.05 billion from bonds, €1.24 billion from certificates, and €0.05 billion from funds.

Allianz SE was the most actively traded stock on Xetra on the DAX index last month with €6.41 billion. Lufthansa AG topped the MDAX index with €1.55 million and SMA Solar Techn. AG led the SDAX with €340.80 million. The most traded ETF was the iShares EURO STOXX Banks 30-15 UCITS with €1.03 billion.
