FTX Europe

FTX Europe, the European branch of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, has launched a website for customers to get their funds out.

The site, ftxeurope.eu, has been given the go-ahead by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

The new domain will only provide balance withdrawal and nothing else.

FTX EU, based in Switzerland and with regional offices in Cyprus, received approval from CySEC in March 2022 to provide regulated cryptocurrency products in Europe.

They planned to use the website ftx.com/eu. FTX EU, which was formerly known as K-DNA Financial Services Limited, was acquired by the cryptocurrency exchange and renamed.

Unfortunately, after the collapse of FTX in November, CySEC suspended FTX EU’s operating license. Before that, FTX EU had obtained full authorization from CySEC as a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF). This license allowed them to offer crypto derivative products but not the direct exchange of digital assets.
