They have made improvements to reduce the amount of memory used during algorithm execution. We have also added indicator panels that show when there is no information available. Additionally, we have made it possible for ASP blocks to expand and collapse when the header is clicked.

The following problems were fixed:

  • The panel on the chart was not being displayed correctly after using a specific function with price or coordinate.
  • The cache was not being cleared when starting cTrader.
  • The function to add a control to the chart with specific coordinates was not working correctly.
  • The line controls were not being updated after changing the coordinates.
  • The button to save the backtesting report was sometimes disabled.
  • The Y axis was incorrect after moving a source indicator to the panel of a dependent indicator.
  • Disabled accounts were not recognized for unconfirmed cTrader IDs.
  • The events for server connection and reloading bars were not triggered after reconnecting in the command-line interface.
  • The pending order was not being recognized in visual backtesting when an order was placed.
  • Empty indicator panels were being shown in the object manager.
  • The Y-axis scale for percentage indicators on the same panel was different.
  • The open and high prices for new bars in backtesting were incorrect.

Earlier this month, Spotware Systems released cTrader Desktop 4.8.

Improved Compatibility and Collaboration in cTrader Automate Update

cTrader Automate is now fully compatible with external development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Rider, and Sublime Text. Users can select their preferred program from a drop-down menu and start coding a trading algorithm right away. All configurations are pre-set, making it easy to start working with your chosen IDE.

With the new update, users can now export, open, and share backtesting or Market Replay reports with other traders. These reports are web-based documents that can be accessed on both a PC and smartphone.

Additionally, cBots and indicators can now be attached to charts based on time, price, or a combination of both. This means that if the chart is moving, the attached controls will move along with it.
