TradingView Adds HLC Areas to Charts

TradingView

TradingView is introducing a new chart type called HLC area to help improve analysis and make charts more interesting.

TradingView

This type of graph visualizes the three most important prices of stock: the highest, lowest, and closing. It ignores the ‘open’ price, which is less important to look at.

If you would like to see the range of a price’s movement over a certain period of time, you can use an HLC area chart. To access this type of chart, select it from the chart type menu, located in the toolbar at the top of the page. This chart will be displayed as a shaded area, allowing you to see the changes in price over the selected interval.

TradingView recently updated its features by adding the ability to create Japanese candle charts for Ranges. To do this, simply open the Symbol tab in the chart settings and select the Range interval. There you can set the chart type to candles and customize options like body color, borders, wicks, and Projection candles.
