HM Treasury has declared the selection of Sophie Hutcherson to the Board of the FCA jointly with the reappointment of Bernadette Conroy for an extra period.
Sophie Hutcherson has 3 decades of expertise in financial services, having served as a top advisor to the CEO at Wells Fargo and occupying various senior roles at Deutsche Bank UK. Plus culminating in her role as Chief Operating Officer – UK, Ireland & Channel Islands between 2016-2018.
Bernadette Conroy has held an executive career in the financial services industry. Having accumulated 29 years of experience at HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Booz Allen Hamilton.
The Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Andrew Griffith, said:
I am delighted with the appointment of Sophie Hutcherson to the board of the FCA, and I am pleased to be able to reappoint Bernadette Conroy to her role on the FCA’s board.
Ben Broadbent has been chosen for a role at the FCA UK’s. As well as being reappointed for a third term to the Prudential Regulation Committee, board of the Prudential Regulation Authority.
This will last until June 2024, the same time his second term as Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy at the Bank of England concludes.
