The FSMA warns people not to respond to emails received from the email addresses:
no-replyfsma@outlook.com, ldavis@finglobalsolution.com and recovery@tfsma.com, as they are not from the FSMA and can be fraudulent. It is best to simply delete these emails if received.
The scammers pretend to be the FSMA in their efforts to get money or private information from people. The FSMA has reported this to the police.
The regulator warns consumers to be extra cautious if they ever receive any uninvited messages. Do not agree to move or send money for any products or services that the Financial Services and Markets Authority supposedly offers.
