HKEX has appointed Andrew Loong as its Managing Director and Head of Digital Assets.
In his position, Mr. Loong will oversee the creation of a digital assets ecosystem on HKEX’s markets, including digital products and secure digital infrastructure. He will do so under the supervision of Glenda So, the Group Head of Emerging Business & FIC at HKEX. Mr. Loong replaces Andrew Walton, who is departing HKEX in July.

For the last twenty years, Mr. Loong has been a part of numerous big banks and financial institutions. He has a lot of knowledge about digital assets and fixed-income markets. Recently, he supervised the evolution of digital asset products and operations at a digital family office in Singapore. Before his finance career, he was a private legal advisor for eight years.
