Monex Names Yuko Seimei CEO

Monex Group, Inc. of Japan has named Yuko Seimei as its new President, Executive Officer and CEO.

In 2001, Yuko Seimei began her career at Sanwa Bank, which is now known as MUFG Bank. She left the bank in December 2006 and joined MKS Partners Ltd.

In February 2009, she joined Monex Hambrecht, Inc. in 2017. In June 2011, she became the Representative Director of Monex Hambrecht, Inc. She advanced to Executive Director of Monex Group, Inc. in March 2013. And Executive Officer of Monex Group in June 2016. Finally, in April 2019 she became the Representative Director and President of the company.

In January 2020, she was appointed as Representative Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Monex Group, Inc. Then in January 2021, she was promoted to Representative Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the company.

In 2021, she was chosen to be a Member of the Board of Monex Group, Inc. In 2022, she was appointed to serve as a Member of the Board, Representative Executive Officer, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. From 2023 onwards, she has held the roles of Member of the Board, Representative Executive Officer. And Co-Chief Executive Officer of M Group, Inc.

Under such circumstances, twenty-four years have passed since the first Monex group company was founded, and in order to adapt to changes in the internal and external environment and to achieve sustainable and long-term growth of our group, we have decided on our intention to strengthen our management structure.

While Oki Matsumoto will check the governance of the entire group in his position as Chairman and Representative Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of the Board, Yuko Seimei will lead the executive team as President, Representative Executive Officer and CEO to promote organization management, thereby building a stronger management execution and governance structure.
