Rakuten Securities, a Japanese company that trades online, has introduced a new chat service called “Investment AI Assistant (beta version)” that was developed in collaboration with Rakuten Group.
The “Investment AI Assistant (beta version)” comes with a smart AI system (patented) created by Rakuten and a unique AI that combines ChatGPT.
Currently, the service is in a testing phase (trial period until the end of September). It will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and with a limited number of users. Once the maximum number of users is reached for the day, the service will stop, but it will be available again the following day.
Rakuten Securities Launches New Service to Support Novice Investors
The goal of the new service is to help people who are new to investing. And may struggle with unfamiliar terms and obstacles.
Due to the corona crisis that began in 2020, there has been a significant growth in the number of people opening accounts at Rakuten Securities. Moreover, there has been an increase in the percentage of individuals who are new to investing.
To sustain their investment journey, it is crucial for these individuals to continue learning. And gain some level of investment knowledge. Rakuten’s goal is to offer a service that enables customers to invest for the long term, such as:
10 or 20 years, in order to build their wealth.
As part of this effort, Rakuten will actively explore the use of generative AI to provide easily understandable information to their customers.
Here’s a simpler version of the steps:
- Agree to the terms and conditions, then click “Start using” to begin using the AI Chat.
- Use the chat input screen to ask investment questions, like “What’s the best way for beginners to invest?”. Or “What can I buy with the new NISA?”
- Type in your question and the AI will provide an answer.
- To ask a new question, click “From the beginning.”
