Consob blocks websites of ProtechFx and PrimusForex

Italy’s regulatory body, CONSOB, has instructed for the restriction of access to four unauthorized investment websites.

The Consob orders have targeted the following websites:

  1. “FP Europe” – (website: fpeurope.com and related page: client.fpeurope.com)
  2. “PrimusForex” – (website: primusforex.net and related page: panel.primusforex.net)
  3. “ProtechFx” – (website: protechfx.com and related page: account.protechfx.com)
  4. “Trezocapital” – (website: trezocapital.net and related page: webtrader.trezocapital.net)

The regulator used its authority granted by the “Growth Decree” to issue orders. According to this law, Consob has the power to instruct internet service providers to prevent Italians from accessing websites that offer financial services without proper authorization.

Since July 2019, a total of 923 websites have been blocked by Consob, the financial regulator, due to fraudulent activities. Consob has the authority to issue orders to block websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries. Recently, the regulator ordered the blocking of the websites of FX Modex and Binetrix.
