Stéphane Boujnah Re-Elected as Euronext CEO and Chairman

At today’s Annual General Meeting, Stéphane Boujnah was appointed to the Managing Board at Euronext once again.

Stéphane Boujnah was reappointed to be the CEO and Chairman of Euronext’s Managing Board for a four-year period. His reappointment was supported by 98.21% of the votes cast, showing strong confidence from Euronext’s shareholders.

Stéphane Boujnah joined Euronext in 2015 and has since made it a leading market infrastructure in Europe. He achieved this by increasing the company’s performance and diversifying its activities, giving it the ability to offer a wide range of services.

CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext, Stéphane Boujnah, said:

I would like to thank our shareholders and Euronext’s Supervisory Board for their renewed trust. I am delighted to be reappointed for another mandate as CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext. I look forward to working together with all the teams at Euronext to deliver on our ‘Growth for Impact 2024’ strategic plan and to prepare the next strategic cycle. We are enthusiastic to consolidate the Group’s role as a key player in strengthening Europe’s capital markets.

Before joining Euronext, Mr Boujnah was in charge of Santander Global Banking and Markets in continental Europe. From 2005 to 2010, he served as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank where he worked on growing the investment banking operations in France. Before that, he established KM5 Capital, a consultancy focusing on raising equity and providing M&A advice for venture capital funds and tech companies.

Boujnah’s Professional Career

From 2000 to 2002, Mr Boujnah worked as the Director of the European M&A team of Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, based in Palo Alto, California, and London. Before that, he served as a senior adviser to the French Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industry from 1997-1999. In 1991, he began his professional career as a business lawyer at Freshfields.

Mr Boujnah was a part of the Commission pour la Liberation de la Croissance Française. He is also the founder and Vice-President of the board of directors of the think tank En Temps Réel. As well as President of the board of directors of Accentus and Insula Orchestra, a non-profit cultural organization.

Also he is a part of the board of Borsa Italiana. He does not have any other positions in any other businesses outside of the group.
